This week we started to learn about life in rural Africa and our learning was linked to the popular children’s book ‘Handa’s Surprise’. Activities have include weaving, collecting data about favourite food, drawing story maps and dancing outside to African music.
Looks like they have had a great time. Blake loves his little boat and he told me he was making potions to turn me into a fly.
Another fun filled week of learning for the bees and the staff have begun to visit the new children starting school in September.
This journey around the world has provided so many valuable experiences for our children. Linking books with the topic both fiction and non fiction. I can see from the children’s faces they are having a marvellous time.
