Mr Edwards led an informative and poignant assembly to recognise Holocaust Memorial Day this week.
Questions were raised about the politics and beliefs of the time and our thoughts and feelings about this event were discussed, including the story of Anne Frank.
Thank you to those children whose thoughtful comments raised enquiry to find out more about equal rights, respecting others’ beliefs and religion, tolerance and individual liberty.

Learning takes place within lessons but also in the thoughtful experiences planned outside the lesson. Assemblies can sometimes prompt further discussion in class or build on learning that has taken place.
Last week the NSPCC met the School Council and all the children in their assemblies to raise awareness of the charity and ways of keeping safe.
