Paintings inspired by Andy Broderick

Once again artist Wendi New has been working with the Puffins class to use natural pigments to create paintings.  Looking at the work of local artist Andy Broderick they used charcoal, graphite, tea and natural inks to make their pictures of foxes.

  1. These are fabulous – Thank you Wendi for your hard work both the children and adults will benefit from these lessons led by a ‘true expert’. Great to have you at Applegarth.

  2. Thank you so much for inviting me! I’ve really enjoyed getting to know yr1/2. They’ve amazed me with their creativity. Absolutely thrilled with their artwork!

  3. I was very impressed with the standard of artwork in Yr1/2. The current piece you are working on will be monumental when it is finished! I have been inspired to try some of the natural techniques you used with my own class. We are going to try to make our our charcoal too…

I will come and have a look next time I visit.

  4. Thank you I am sure that the classes would love that. Our resident artist has had immediate impact on the quality of art and supported teachers to develop their skills. We sent some of the pieces into a competition last week.
    Crossing our fingers.
