Outdoor Learning Y3/4

As the weather is improving, we’re making the most of the fantastic outdoor spaces at Applegarth Primary School.  In Year 3/4 the children used the gardening area to plant seeds for a germination investigation and to make our Bronze Age monuments in last half term’s prehistory project.  We feel very lucky to have such a great environment.

  1. I am sure that the results of all this hard work are now taking pride of place in the children’s homes.

A fabulous use of our ‘Gardening Area’ a safe place to learn about nature and design technology more appropriately than the classroom.

The children needed to apply their resilience in building the models to keep the soil in the shape they required. They talked knowledgeably with me about the problems and the different materials they used as a solution.

    Well done everyone involved.
