Drama, art and an Anglo-Saxon poem!

Year 3/4 delved into an ancient poem, β€˜The Ruin’ this week, reading the Anglo-Saxon version of a ruined town after the Romans left Britain, as the Anglo-Saxons were ready to invade our vulnerable island. Children compared this with the modern version and discussed how the vocabulary differed and we thenhad a go at re-enacting the poem through various forms, including art!
Well done to everyone for asking questions and adapting their drawing to new discoveries as the poem was read out!
