In the parent/carer questionnaire, several families pointed out the vulnerability of our school site (especially given the town centre location). As a governing body and leadership team, we agreed. We have worked with Jill Stockdale (school bursar), the Town Council and District Council to plan, approve and gain match funding for a new 2m perimeter fence around the field and playground. This will make our site much more secure.
We couldn’t miss the chance to take this as a learning opportunity, so pupils have been out to help dig and set the posts!
