On Tuesday our Reception pupils took a coach trip to Runswick Bay to enrich their learning about the seaside, rock pools and leisure time in the summer. Fortunately, the weather was kind and stayed dry. The children explored rock pools, created beach art using natural materials and also played games on the beach. We treated ourselves to ice creams before the climb to the top of the hill where the coach was waiting for us. Everyone had a wonderful time and the children showed exemplary and safe behaviour. They have all made fantastic memories and the visit has prompted lots of postcard writing and role play in our ice cream shop.
