Children in KS2 have been focusing on the persuasive techniques that devices and apps use to ‘hook’ it’s audience in and hold onto them.  We’ve tried to empower them to realise that features such as auto play, pop ups, clickbait, streaks (Snapchat) and notifications are all designed to attract the user and influence the way they use technology.  The children have been having insightful discussions about the addictiveness of technology and the effects of screen time.   The video below encourages children to be mindful of how they use technology and take more control of the way they use it.
