Our final project for our ‘Scream Machine’ topic involved designing, making and programming our own fairground ride. Our class learnt how to use motors and pulley systems. We then used coding software and a Crumble Controller to program our fairground rides to move forwards and backwards at different speeds. The class found the programming the easy bit because we’re all used to using Scratch. The hardest bit was incorporating the pulley system to make our rides turn.
The children loved creating their fairground rides. It was great to see our recent training having such a quick impact on the children’s learning.
