Key Steps Gymnastics Competition

Today was the much anticipated Key Steps Gymnastics competition. In total we had 26 children take part in the event meaning we had 2 teams per year group enter. All children had to demonstrate disciplines in Vault, Floor and Body Management.

I know that many of the children had being practising so very hard both at school and at home and I was impressed how much effort went in to all of their routines. Unfortunately it wasn’t our day. Congratulations go to Alverton for their achievements across the competition.

Thank you to everyone who chipped in with some coaching as it’s never an easy task co-ordinating so many children practising so many disciplines. And thanks to everyone who helped take (and bring back) the children from the leisure centre throughout the day!

Well done Team Applegarth!

  1. Well done to everyone involved. Your super behaviour through town and at the leisure centre was commented on by many people – fantastic and a real credit to the school.
