We had a lovely afternoon in the wildlife area and thankfully there was no rain this week! Some children made ‘leaf hedgehogs’, others mashed up blackberries and rowan berries to make natural paint and another group favoured an activity which included collecting natural materials to make a nature bracelets.
I had the pleasure of joining Friday’s session with some visitors to the school. The children were being incredibly productive and totally engrossed in their play and learning. I saw children sharing their tools and playing cooperatively – Mr Whiteley had to pretend to be the Fire Brigade at one point. Rescuing children in a tree! They were very good actors and thankfully no long ladders were required!
Ingrid was very happy. She loved forest Friday. She can’t wait for the next one.
Looks like a wonderful time was had we will have to trying making natural paints at home it looks like great fun
