Harvest time at All Saint’s Church

All of Applegarth Primary School went to All Saint’s Church to celebrate Harvest time, bringing food and other produce as an offering.

They walked sensibly and safely with their partners and sat in their classes. KS1 children sang an old favourite, ‘ Big, Red Combine Harvester’ and even the Year 6s joined in!

Year 3/4 children sang ‘Harvest Rock and Roll’ with quite a few children dancing and jiving along.

Year 5/6 children sang a samba and read out some poems and prayers.

Applegarth children, as always, were sensible, neatly presented and polite. A huge thank you to Mrs Browne for organising such a lovely, community event.

“I think that the Harvest Festival was brilliant. I especially loved the singing!” (Zak, Y4)

“We all enjoyed the songs and it was nice to see some parents there.” (Abby, Y3)

  1. Thank you for your comments. It was a special service. The children’s poems made is think about others and our songs helped us understand the work involved in farming and helped us to celebrate the food we have.
Thank you very much Reverend Fiona for enabling us to share such a special place.
