This afternoon, Year 6 had a visitor from Go Wise Online. Sarah, who has started this company used to be a detective working with internet safety. She discussed information being truthful and how to keep personal information secure. Sarah also discussed social media and online gaming and how to keep safe. The children discussed their digital footprints and online chat and how easy it is to hide your identity online and how not everybody is who they say they are. The children were learning about how social media can affect people’s mental health and self esteem. Sarah also discussed agencies which can help children both online and offline: ceops and childline.
