The Year 1 Honeybees and Puffins had lot of fun at Forest School this week. After playing a few warm up games, we discussed the importance of woodlands as habitats, places of beauty and vital to our planet’s atmosphere. The children also learnt that woodlands provide a space for elves and fairies to live and hold magical festivals. They set off, using their imagination to look for evidence of elf and fairy activity. After lunch the children enjoyed making musical instruments and reading maps to find hidden clues dotted around the woods.

Did they find any fairies or Elves? I’m sure they would have been delighted to play!
Lots of creativity and lots of smiles! I have a feeling they did find those fairies!
