Year 3/4 children visited our local Records Office today, as part of their learning during Heritage Week.
We learned how to conserve the letters that were received from the sailors of HMS Hood and how important it is to take care of our Applegarth School records and protect them for future learners. A tour of the Records Office also included showing children local maps and even a book that was over 400 years old!
Thank you so much to the Record Office team for allowing children to handle the old letters and learn through asking SO many questions!
