World Book Day 07/03/24

It’s been a fantastic day celebrating everything books! We’ve seen some truly wonderful costumes, from literary heroes to fantastical creatures, and cosy pyjamas perfect for curling up with a good read. The children have also brought in a splash of colour, inspired by the titles of their favourite books.

Our KS1 classes had a particularly exciting adventure. They enjoyed a trip to Waterstones, where they listened to a captivating story called ‘Whose Dog is this?’ by Andrew Saunders.  They even got to lend a helping hand, sorting a brand new book delivery into fiction, non-fiction, and baby books. It sounds like a brilliant way to learn about different genres and the importance of organisation in a library!

This is just a taste of the bookish fun happening throughout the school today.
