Once again we were delighted to welcome back Ian Johnson from the Seedlings at School charity. Β Ian supported us three years ago by donating and planting lots of trees for our field and wildlife area (including the apple trees near the hen coop). Β This week he joined us again to teach the children the importance of trees and woodland to provide habitats for a number of animals, including mini-beasts. Β Ian brought along a number of imaginary animals and set the task of getting the children to design a habitat for these animals using any materials they could find. Β Thank you for your time Ian!

It looks like the children learnt a lot about habitats in this session. The follow up work in the classroom built on these outside hands on experiences.
Applegarth give a big thanks to Betty’s Tea Rooms for sponsoring this work again.
