Hamilton class bought some stick insects with the money they won for the Christmas hamper. When the insects arrived, they were just nymphs. Three months later, they are getting quite large.
The children have been able to observe their changes over time, learning at the same time how to care for living things, ensuring they have food, moisture and a clean environment.
Today, C and E have been busy cleaning out their home.
They are very hard to spot!
Great handling C and E. 🙂
They are so cute. Have you named them yet?
Well done Charlie and Elliott. 🙂
The stick Insects are very good at hiding in the leaves. When I took them home my mum said “Cerys have you taken home a bag of sticks and leaves”
The stick insects have grown a lot since we first got them 3 months ago . Every week one person gets to take them home . After a while we put new branches in there home (we have to spray them too .).
Love it 😉 😉
Great job C and E! 🙂 😉 🙂
Wow the stick insects have grown!:)
I had fun cleaning the stick Insects out.
It’s great to see the children learn so much from having their own ‘pets’.
