Bees Visit China

Last week the children in Bees began learning about China.  We have been reading a story called ‘The Magic Paintbrush’ which centers around a character called Shen whose paintings magically become real.  Unfortunately the Emperor hears about this magic and demands Shen paints him a money tree.  The children have enjoyed exploring the characters and writing to Shen.  They have also been building huge great walls, following instructions to make fans and trying some Chinese writing.
