All our year 1 children have had a busy week. On Tuesday they walked to Alverton School to take part in a Fun Run with other local schools. Without a doubt, all the children were amazing from our medal winners Ella S, Corinne B, Lilly W, Keira G and Finlay W to those who showed great determination to complete the two laps of the school field and who celebrated the successes of their friends. Many thanks to the parents who supported us by helping to walk with the children. Without them we could not have attended the event. Mrs Crossley

I couldn’t believe the successes the children of Applegarth had at the fun run. Everyone ran so well, even after the long walk to the venue. Special well done to those who placed. Super effort!
Well done Year 1. You were so proud of yourselves when you returned to school and definitely talked about the “fun” of the fun run.
So many excellent performances. Thanks everyone who helped what a super start to another successful year of sports!
They all tried so hard was lovely to watch their excited faces and they were all great sportsmen cheering everyone on!
